So Much Hope at New Hope

As you drive down Indianapolis Road in Mooresville, you may think to yourself that there are so many
churches on such a little stretch of road, but how do I pick which one  to go to? Well, first appearance
isn’t always everything when it comes to your soul. It is what it on the inside of the building that is
most important. The church is made up of so many different things, such as the Pastor, the members,
and most importantly what is preached.

At New Hope Full Gospel Tabernacle we pride ourselves in the people and the love we all share for
the Lord. We don’t care what you look like, your status in life, what car you drive and how you dress.
All that matters is that you have a hunger and desire to serve the Lord. Pastor Ken Pingleton and his
wife Cindy are about as simple and down to earth as they come. Pastor Pingleton was born and raised
in Indiana but loves his Kentucky roots and is proud of it! Cindy was also born and raised in Indiana,
and they look forward to raising all 4 of their children Rachel 1
5, and triplets Abigail, Elijah and Ariel
age 1
1 in Mooresville.

New Hope was founded in 2002. “The church has been through it’s own share of hard times, there is
no doubt about that, but what church doesn’t experience that at one time or another” says Pastor
Pingleton.  Since the beginning, things have moved forward and we have become stronger then ever in
the Lord and intend to continue to grow.

In the last year, New Hope has received some major cosmetic changes. We have added nearly double
the space we originally started out with in 2002. With the help of church members volunteering their
time and Team Builders Willie & Patty Henry this has all been possible. We moved into the new
sanctuary Sunday, March 25, 2007, and what a service it was in deed. We  have also been blessed
enough to add a full basement which includes 8 Sunday School rooms, a first for our Sunday School
children, as well as bathroom facilities for our missionaries who stop in. We thought this would be a
nice service to have for those who have to travel often. Missionaries are able to use our full kitchen in
the fellowship hall as well as many other things they may not usually have access to while traveling.
We try to make them as “at home” as possible. We have also added a baptismal which has already been
put to great use for anyone who wants to come and dedicate themselves publicly to the Lord and the
work he has for them.

Our Sunday School program has grown leaps and bounds in the last year. We have started busing in
children from as far as Indianapolis. We offer breakfast every Sunday morning at 9:45am before church
service, to make it a little easier on those who otherwise would not have the time to eat. We have
started a program called “Jesus Bucks” to encourage young kids to come in to church and stay in.
Children have a chance to earn these bucks by a wide variety of things such as participation in class,
bringing a friend with them, bringing their bible, and so much more.

We encourage you to come by and sit in for a service and experience the greatest group of people this
side of Heaven. Church services are Sunday 10am, Sunday 6pm and Wednesday at 7pm. We know the
future is bright for New Hope and encourage to watch us grow through the coming years.
